In 1989, we released the world's first low-cost, self-installed wireless security system, the SS5400. We went on to develop the DS7000 voice dialer system, the DC8700 monitored system and the PA5800 personal alert system. The self-installed security system was a breakthrough in wireless technology and is still widely used today. X10 is currently the world's largest manufacturer of wireless, self-installed security systems.

In 2011, we released SecuriLINK, an even better self-installed, wireless security system. It combines all of the features of previous X10 security systems with a ton of new, state-of-the-art features such as a built in LCD screen, a security lighting timer, the capability to be armed/disarmed via phone, home automation control built in, up to 32 zones of protection, including 2 hard-wired zones and more!
